Tofu & Broccoli In Brown Sauce
CrispyTofu in Brown Sauce is a delicious and healthy vegan recipe that is easy to make and packed with flavor. The tofu is coated in cornstarch and pan-fried until crispy, then tossed with broccoli florets in a savory brown sauce made from coconut milk and Korean BBQ sauce.
Ingredients:
1 block of extra-firm tofu, drained and pressed
1/4 cup cornstarch
1/2 tbsp liquid aminos
2 tbsp grapeseed oil
1/2 cup Korean BBQ sauce
1/2 cup coconut milk
green onions, sliced (optional) garnish
sesame seeds (optional) garnish
Instructions:
Cut the tofu into triangle shaped pieces, then add liquid aminos to season. Take tofu and press them into the cornstarch, shaking off any excess.
Heat the grapeseed oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the tofu pieces and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy. Remove the tofu from the pan and set aside.
In the same pan, add the broccoli.
Return the tofu to the pan.
Add coconut milk and Korean BBQ sauce, and toss to coat it in the sauce.
Remove from heat.
Serve the tofu hot, garnished with sliced green onions and sesame seeds if desired.
