Steamed Cabbage

I really love cabbage, Iā€™m not a fan of eating it raw unless its pickled with pepper. But when cooked, its very tasty, and this recipe is simple, quick, and especially good. This is a quick and easy side dish that comes together quickly and effortlessly. It may not look like much, but this simple steamed cabbage, seasoned with garlic and onion is a delicacy.

10 0z shredded cabbage

1/2 yellow onion chopped

1 roma tomato chopped

4 garlic cloves chopped

1 scotch bonnet pepper remove stem

1 tbsp grape seed oil

salt and black pepper to taste

Add oil to a skillet and heat on medium heat. Add onions, garlic, scotch bonnet pepper and tomatoes, allow to cook until onions are translucent 2-3 minutes. Add cabbage and season to taste with salt and black pepper. Cover the skillet and cook on medium low heat about 2-3 minutes. the cabbage should start to get tender, stir to combine all ingredients, cover and allow to cook for 3-5 minutes. Remove from heat, serve as a side with your favorite main dish.
